Welcome to Split60, the future of digital monetization.
Emerging artists will always be vital for the music industry, they are the ones that push
the boundaries of existing genres, represent marginalised communities, and are the
future chart toppers and festival headliners. Yet in a “profit-centric” industry it is
becoming increasingly harder for smaller artists to get their name out there while
generating sustainable income. Streaming services continue not to be properly
regulated and are an unsustainable source of income for emerging musicians.
Split60 is a London-based digital music platform changing this narrative by providing
artists with 60% of the revenue generated from videos, a considerably higher
percentage than the industry norm. This Artist-Centric approach aims to resolve
the unsustainable income that mainstream services create for smaller
artists. Unlike other platforms that often burden artists with upfront costs and logistical
challenges, Split60 eliminates all barriers to entry. Artists can receive free
professional videography, editing, mixing, mastering, and a two-hour studio session
thanks to sponsorship from Wired4music.
At Split60 we recognise the amount of talent that goes unnoticed, our mission is to
ensure that no great artist remains unheard simply because they lack the resources or
exposure, and to create a hub for like-minded individuals to connect through music.
Split60 is ultimately more than just a platform, it is the start of a movement toward a
more equal and sustainable music scene.
